The Life of Joseph

“Father, they were disobedient again!” Joseph enters his father Jacob’s tent. He is tired and sad. All day long he has been with his brothers by the flock of sheep. They have made sure that their father’s animals had enough grass and water. Joseph enjoys this work. But he does not enjoy being with his brothers all day, because they are never friendly to him. He loved Rachel most of all, but she died when Benjamin was born. Now, when Jacob sees Joseph, he always thinks of Rachel again. That’s why he loves Joseph the most. He sometimes spoils him too, and gives him more than his other sons. It is not good of father Jacob to spoil one of his children. But Joseph cannot help it…
